| Feb. 13 | The Big Band Sweetheart Dance to benefit Flat Rock Playhouse Step right into a USO Club in full “swing” and dance to big band classics made famous by the likes of Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, and Jimmy Dorsey as Flat Rock Playhouse invites everyone to travel back in time to the Swinging 40’s. Held at the unique location of the WNC Air Museum with music provided by the Hendersonville Swing Band, the evening promises to have all the makings of an event that will have everyone dancing the night away. Proceeds from the dance go to support the Flat Rock Playhouse YouTheatre program. Tickets to the Big Band Sweetheart Dance are $100 each, which includes dinner, dessert and cocktails. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres begin at 6:00 pm with dinner at 6:30. The gourmet buffet is catered by Food Experience of Asheville, a locally owned and operated full-service catering company. The YouTheatre Conservatory students perform as well as provide dinner entertainment, and the band will play until 10:00 pm.
