Listen to Tom Fisch's music on CD Baby

Flat Rock favorite, Tom Fisch, returns to our stage once again. Originally from Albany, NY, Tom was influenced by traditional folk and country artists and he entertained audiences for many years throughout the Northeast at colleges, clubs, coffeehouses, festivals and fairs. He spent some time in Nashville running his own publishing company but he's lived in NC since 2004. With the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains for inspiration, Tom and his music have found a comfortable place to call home. And wherever he performs, audiences continue to connect with the warm, appealling style, diverse range of material, and talent this seasoned performer brings to the stage. Tom's newest CD, October Boy, contains eleven great acoustic tunes touching on life, love and the passing of time. The album features Tom's fine acoustic guitar and vocals with help from some of Asheville, North Carolina's finest musicians.

Their unique blend of contemporary songwriting and traditional Appalachian music bring to their performances a deep understanding of Americas musical heritage.

Sally Barris August 7, 2010

Restless Soul, 2007, Produced by Sally Barris and Chas Williams
Restless Soul ReviewsLittle Voice, 2004, Produced by Colin Linden

Nashville-based artist and Wrensong Publishing writer, Sally Barris, has managed to be successful in the mainstream world of country music without giving up her folk & Celtic roots.

Her unique style, influenced by artists such as: Tony Rice, Dougie Maclean, Triona Ni Dhomhnaill & Richard Thompson, is what makes her stand out in a city known for "cookie cutter" talent. Whether in her own hands or those of a well-established artist, such as, Lee Ann Womack, or a newcomer like American Idol finalist, Kellie Pickler, Sally's music is unmistakably recognizable.

Some catalog highlights include: "Let The Wind Chase You" (Trisha Yearwood), "Reluctant Daughter" (Martina McBride), "Some Things I Know" (Lee Ann Womack), "I.m On My Way" (Kellie Pickler), "The Innocent Years" (Kathy Mattea) and "Honesuckle Sweet" (Jessi Alexander) which appeared in the Miramax film An Unfinished Life.

September 4th - The Swayback Sisters, Southern harmonic folk; sponsored by Charleston Garden at Flat Rock and Lita Stum, realtor

The Swayback Sisters

The Swayback Sisters consist of Lyndsay Wojcik, Nikki Talley and Laura Backley. Lyndsay Wojcik won the Gibson Songwriting Contest in Nashville, Nikki Talley took top honors on TV's Carolina Star, and Laura Blackley - with three CDs to her credit - hosts the Ashville radio show Southern Sirens.

Hailing individually from Asheville, North Carolina, these "sisters" decided to join forces & create a diverse musical experience for themselves as well as their audiences. While each Sister is proficient in her songwriting & crafty guitar work, the real treat is the blending of their voices in three-part harmony. Performing mostly their own originals, this trio also has select older standards and re-vamped covers in their repertoire. (Accapella versions of old Appalachian folks songs side by side with popular hits done the Swayback way!) As well as guitar, they accompany their beautiful voices with other instruments including banjo and fiddle. The Swayback Sisters have brought a truly unique, diverse, entertaining show to each venue played & continually are asked “When is the NEXT Swayback Sister Show?”
