Flat Rock Tailgate Market now OPEN

The Flat Rock Tailgate Market will reopen on Thursday, April 17 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the parking area behind the Funky Bungalow and Silk Road Interiors along Little Rainbow Row.  The market will continue every Thursday with the same hours through October and is free and open to the public with plenty of parking.

This year’s Flat Rock Tailgate Market will again feature locally and regionally grown seasonal produce using organic or chemical free and/or sustainable agricultural practices.  Some of the offerings on the opening day will include perennials, Japanese maples, wild mushrooms, baked goods, herbs, honey, jellies, goat cheese, eggs, dried flowers, fresh salad greens, seasonal vegetables and much more.  A wide variety of plants, fruits and vegetables will be added as the growing season progresses.
The Village of Flat Rock Tailgate Market is sponsored by the Merchants of Flat Rock and has been organized by local residents who are a not for profit group that is interested in providing the community with the highest quality produce and homemade products that are in season and locally/regionally produced.  To assure that goal, all prospective vendors will be screened through an application process.  To obtain an application to become a vendor or for further information about the Flat Rock Tailgate Market, please call Hand in Hand Gallery at 697-7719.
